2013 Purdue Football Ticket Prices
Well, looks like Purdue is going to nail the fans with a big Legacy “donation” for sitting in the stands along the sidelines. Some seats at the ends will get hit with an additional $100 “donation” for the privilege of sitting there. The ones closer to the center will get hit with a $250 “donation” on top of their seating prices as well. I can just see many loyal fans and professors that have occupied these seats for a long time just saying “no” and turning in their seats. Unfortunate that Purdue has to go down this road with the other schools who are also generating funds this same way to be able to bring in talented coaches to walk the sidelines, as well as other expenses. They are a small market team trapped between two major cities in Indianapolis and Chicago that have pro-teams to watch, in addition to minor league teams in various sports. Not sure where they expect to get enough people to accept these new prices after the last 5 years that Purdue’s football team has been awful in under the Hope regime. I see the endzone seats now getting taken over by many John Purdue Club people that once had good seats on the sidelines cause they can’t afford the extra “donation” per seat. Based on these prices, I’ve pretty much have been priced out of being able to call myself a season ticket holder at Purdue for football. I simply can’t afford these new rates, and will once again be finding myself sitting at a local bar. Much cheaper to sit and eat a $12 meal and watch the game on tv than it is to go anymore, which is unfortunate. College football Saturdays is my only true addiction, and between Purdue and the economy, they both have found a way to break that addiction. Such is life I guess…
